تمساح يقتل سبّاحة في فلوريدا.. وآخر يتسلل إلى حمام عائلة بالهند – أخبار السعودية
في الوقت الذي تحولت نزهة سباحة هادئة في أحد أنهار فلوريدا إلى مأساة انتهت بمقتل امرأة ثلاثينية، عاشت عائلة في الهند ليلة من الرعب بعدما وجدت نفسها وجهاً لوجه مع تمساح داخل منزلها.
في ولاية فلوريدا، لقيت بريتاني كلارك (31 عاماً)، مصرعها إثر هجوم تمساح أثناء السباحة في نهر إيكونلوكهاتشي، بعدما تعرضت لإصابات بالغة أدت إلى بتر شبه كامل في ذراعيها، وفقاً لتقرير الطب الشرعي.
وكانت كلارك تسبح برفقة صديقها وعدد من أصدقائها عندما باغتها التمساح في مياه لم يتجاوز عمقها متراً واحداً، في هجوم مفاجئ لم تتمكن من النجاة منه.
وقال تشاد ويبر، من هيئة فلوريدا لحماية الأسماك والحياة البرية، إن المجموعة لم تقم بأي سلوك استفزازي تجاه التمساح قبل وقوع الحادث، موضحاً أن صديق الضحية حاول طلب المساعدة عبر خدمات الطوارئ، لكنها فارقت الحياة أثناء نقلها إلى المستشفى.
وكشف تقرير تشريح الجثة أن الوفاة نجمت عن إصابات شديدة بسبب صدمات حادة في الأطراف العلوية، موضحاً أن الهجوم تسبب في بتر شبه كامل لذراعها اليسرى من منطقة الكتف، إضافة إلى إصابة بالغة في ساعدها الأيمن.
وعقب الحادث، أعلنت السلطات العثور على تمساحين بالقرب من موقع الهجوم والتعامل معهما ضمن إجراءات التحقيق، فيما عبّر صديق الضحية عن حزنه الشديد لفقدانها عبر رسالة مؤثرة، بينما وصفها والدها بأنها كانت إنسانة محبة للطبيعة والآخرين، ووجه الشكر لكل من حاول إنقاذها.
وفي حادثة أخرى بعيدة آلاف الكيلومترات، عاش سكان منزل في ولاية غوجارات الهندية لحظات من الذعر بعدما اكتشفوا وجود تمساح يبلغ طوله نحو سبعة أقدام داخل حمام المنزل خلال ساعات الليل.
وبحسب موقع «إنديان توداي»، بدأ الأمر عندما استيقظ صاحب المنزل على نباح كلابه بشكل غير معتاد، ليتوجه إلى الحمام ويجد التمساح بداخله، قبل أن يسارع أفراد الأسرة إلى إبلاغ إدارة الغابات.
ووصل فريق متخصص إلى المكان، وتمكن بعد نحو ساعة من السيطرة على الحيوان وإخراجه من المنزل دون وقوع إصابات، قبل نقله وإطلاقه في بركة قريبة.
وأوضح مسؤولو إدارة الغابات أن ظهور التماسيح في المناطق السكنية يزداد خلال موسم الأمطار، إذ تؤدي زيادة منسوب المياه في البرك والمسطحات المائية إلى دفعها لمغادرة موائلها الطبيعية بحثاً عن الغذاء أو هرباً من ظروف الفيضانات.
While a peaceful swimming outing in one of Florida’s rivers turned into a tragedy that ended with the death of a thirty-year-old woman, a family in India experienced a night of terror after finding themselves face to face with a crocodile inside their home.
In Florida, Brittany Clark (31 years old) lost her life due to a crocodile attack while swimming in the Econfina River, after suffering severe injuries that led to near-total amputation of her arms, according to the coroner’s report.
Clark was swimming with her boyfriend and several friends when she was suddenly attacked by the crocodile in water that was less than a meter deep, in a surprise attack from which she could not escape.
Chad Weber, from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, stated that the group did not engage in any provocative behavior towards the crocodile before the incident, explaining that the victim’s boyfriend tried to call for help through emergency services, but she died while being transported to the hospital.
The autopsy report revealed that the death resulted from severe injuries due to blunt force trauma to the upper limbs, indicating that the attack caused near-total amputation of her left arm from the shoulder area, in addition to severe injury to her right forearm.
Following the incident, authorities announced the discovery of two crocodiles near the attack site and dealt with them as part of the investigation procedures, while the victim’s boyfriend expressed his deep sorrow for her loss through an emotional message, and her father described her as a person who loved nature and others, thanking everyone who tried to save her.
In another incident thousands of kilometers away, residents of a house in the Indian state of Gujarat experienced moments of terror after discovering a crocodile about seven feet long inside their bathroom during the night.
According to “Indian Today,” the situation began when the homeowner woke up to the unusual barking of his dogs, went to the bathroom, and found the crocodile inside, before family members quickly informed the forest department.
A specialized team arrived at the scene and was able to control the animal and remove it from the house without any injuries after about an hour, before transporting it and releasing it in a nearby pond.
Forest department officials explained that the appearance of crocodiles in residential areas increases during the rainy season, as rising water levels in ponds and water bodies drive them to leave their natural habitats in search of food or to escape flooding conditions.
