في رسالة جديدة تؤكد تمسكها بخيارها النووي، أعلنت كوريا الشمالية عزمها مواصلة تعزيز قدراتها العسكرية الاستراتيجية بلا انقطاع، متحدية الدعوات الدولية المتكررة للتخلي عن أسلحتها النووية، ومشددة على أن ترسانتها تمثل «ضمانة لحماية الدولة» وفق تعبيرها.
وقالت السلطات في بيونغ يانغ، الاثنين، إنها ستواصل تحديث قدراتها النووية بشكل متواصل «دون لحظة توقف واحدة»، رافضة دعوة وزراء خارجية رابطة دول جنوب شرق آسيا (آسيان) إلى نزع السلاح النووي بشكل كامل.

ووصفت كوريا الشمالية الدعوة بأنها «تعبير آخر عن العداء» تجاه دولة نووية مسؤولة، بحسب ما نقلته وكالة الأنباء المركزية الكورية عن كيم يو جونغ، شقيقة الزعيم الكوري الشمالي كيم جونغ أون، التي تتولى غالبًا إصدار تصريحات بارزة باسم القيادة في القضايا الدولية.
وأكدت كيم يو جونغ أن موقف بلادها «ثابت وواضح»، مشيرة إلى أن قوات الردع النووي تمثل، بحسب وصفها، درعًا لحماية سيادة الدولة وأحد أهم ضمانات أمنها.
وأضافت أن القدرات النووية لجمهورية كوريا الديمقراطية الشعبية ستواصل التطور والتحديث «بشكل مستمر ودون أي انقطاع»، معتبرة أن هذا الخيار يظل ضروريًا في ظل ما وصفته بـ«الأزمات التي تخلقها قوى معادية في المنطقة».
وتأتي التصريحات في وقت تتصاعد فيه الدعوات الدولية لخفض التوتر في شبه الجزيرة الكورية، وسط استمرار الخلافات بشأن برامج بيونغ يانغ النووية والصاروخية ومطالب المجتمع الدولي بالحد منها.
In a new message reaffirming its commitment to its nuclear option, North Korea announced its intention to continue enhancing its strategic military capabilities without interruption, defying repeated international calls to abandon its nuclear weapons, and emphasizing that its arsenal represents a “guarantee for the protection of the state,” as it put it.
The authorities in Pyongyang stated on Monday that they will continue to update their nuclear capabilities continuously “without a single moment of pause,” rejecting the call from the foreign ministers of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) for complete nuclear disarmament.
North Korea described the call as “another expression of hostility” towards a responsible nuclear state, according to the Korean Central News Agency, citing Kim Yo Jong, the sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, who often issues prominent statements on behalf of the leadership regarding international issues.

Kim Yo Jong affirmed that her country’s position is “firm and clear,” noting that the nuclear deterrent forces represent, as she described, a shield for protecting the sovereignty of the state and one of its most important security guarantees.
She added that the nuclear capabilities of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea will continue to develop and modernize “continuously and without any interruption,” considering this option necessary in light of what she described as “the crises created by hostile forces in the region.”
The statements come at a time when international calls for reducing tensions on the Korean Peninsula are escalating, amid ongoing disputes over Pyongyang’s nuclear and missile programs and demands from the international community to limit them.
