قلد الرئيس اللبناني جوزيف عون، السفير السعودي في لبنان وليد بخاري، وسام «الأرز الوطني» من رتبة ضابط أكبر، تقديراً للدور الذي أداه خلال فترة عمله في لبنان.
ونوّه عون خلال الزيارة الوداعية، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، بالدور الذي لعبه بخاري في تعزيز وتطوير العلاقات الأخوية بين المملكة العربية السعودية ولبنان في مختلف المجالات، متمنيًا له التوفيق في مهماته الجديدة.
من جهته، شكر السفير بخاري الرئيس عون على منحه الوسام وعلى الدعم الذي لقيه خلال فترة عمله في لبنان، معرباً عن تطلعه إلى أن يستعيد لبنان تألقه ودوره الفاعل بين دول المنطقة.
وأعرب بخاري عن أمله بأن ينعم الشعب اللبناني بالأمن والاستقرار والازدهار، وأن يبقى لبنان مقصدًا وموئلًا لكل محبّيه وأشقائه.
The Lebanese President Joseph Aoun awarded the Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon, Walid Bukhari, the “National Cedar” medal of the rank of Grand Officer, in recognition of the role he played during his tenure in Lebanon.
During the farewell visit today (Tuesday), Aoun praised the role that Bukhari played in enhancing and developing the fraternal relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Lebanon in various fields, wishing him success in his new missions.
For his part, Ambassador Bukhari thanked President Aoun for granting him the medal and for the support he received during his time in Lebanon, expressing his hope that Lebanon would regain its brilliance and active role among the countries of the region.
Bukhari expressed his hope that the Lebanese people would enjoy security, stability, and prosperity, and that Lebanon would remain a destination and refuge for all its lovers and brothers.
