أعلنت السلطات الفرنسية توقيف شاب يبلغ من العمر 27 عامًا، يُشتبه في تخطيطه لتنفيذ هجوم عنيف كان يستهدف تجمعات يهودية ومتحفًا في باريس، دون تحديد هدف نهائي، إلى جانب سعيه للانضمام لاحقًا إلى تنظيم «داعش» في سورية أو موزمبيق.
وبحسب صحيفة «لوموند»، فإن الموقوف كان قد أبدى نوايا سابقة لاستهداف متحف اللوفر إضافة إلى تجمعات يهودية في العاصمة الفرنسية، قبل أن يتم اعتقاله يوم الخميس الماضي.
اللوفر تحت المجهر الأمني
وتأتي هذه التطورات في وقت لا يزال فيه متحف اللوفر، الأكثر زيارة في العالم، يواجه تساؤلات حادة حول أمنه، خصوصا بعد واقعة سرقة وصفت إعلاميًا بـ «سرقة القرن»، حين تمكن لصوص في أكتوبر الماضي من الاستيلاء على مجوهرات تقدر قيمتها بنحو 102 مليون دولار.
وفي سياق التداعيات، قدمت المفتشية العامة للشؤون الثقافية الفرنسية تقريرًا حاد اللهجة أمام مجلس الشيوخ في ديسمبر الماضي، كشفت فيه عن ثغرات أمنية خطيرة داخل المتحف، ساهمت في تسهيل عملية السرقة.
كما وافق الرئيس الفرنسي إيمانويل ماكرون لاحقًا على استقالة مديرة المتحف لورانس دي كار، في ظل تصاعد الانتقادات المتعلقة بالأمن وسوء الإدارة، إلى جانب إضرابات متكررة داخل المؤسسة.
The French authorities announced the arrest of a 27-year-old man suspected of planning a violent attack targeting Jewish gatherings and a museum in Paris, without specifying a final target, alongside his intention to later join the “ISIS” organization in Syria or Mozambique.
According to the newspaper “Le Monde,” the arrested individual had previously expressed intentions to target the Louvre Museum in addition to Jewish gatherings in the French capital, before being arrested last Thursday.
The Louvre Under Security Scrutiny
These developments come at a time when the Louvre, the most visited museum in the world, is facing sharp questions about its security, especially after a theft described in the media as the “heist of the century,” when thieves managed to seize jewelry valued at around $102 million last October.
In the context of the repercussions, the French General Inspectorate of Cultural Affairs presented a sharply worded report to the Senate last December, revealing serious security vulnerabilities within the museum that facilitated the theft.
French President Emmanuel Macron later approved the resignation of museum director Laurence des Cars amid rising criticism regarding security and mismanagement, alongside repeated strikes within the institution.
